“When other drummers ask me where I marched, I tell them Triple Crown. And often times, they will respond with “Oh, you mean Tates Creek?” I reply with yes and no. A good way to explain my answer and the evolvement of this program is to envision one book closing and another book opening. While the members, including myself, carried the legacy of everyone who had experienced a journey through Tates Creek, we also put faith into an effort that was geared towards the transformation of the program into something fresh and vibrant. Part of that effort was assembling an excellent team of designers who together had nothing short of a treasure chest full of brilliant ideas. There were so many times when I was on the floor and I remembered how cool it was being introduced to so many innovative ideas! I mean, who would have ever imagined BUGS playing drums? Another wonderful aspect of this activity is the education you receive while learning and performing your show. The administration pieced together a highly talented, experienced staff from all walks of the activity, and as a former member I can say that I had no doubt that we were getting the highest quality of instruction at Triple Crown. However, with the rebranding of this organization we never forgot the most memorable thing that will always live through those who marched Tates Creek, and Triple Crown...and that is the family-like environment that always exists. From the toughest days to the best days, we all know at the end of the day we are always there for each other. It ultimately is part of the equation to being successful and I wouldn’t change the place I experienced those feelings for anything! Come out and experience this journey for yourself and find what could be a new world beneath your feet!”

“My first experience with TC was when I was 16 years old, after registering for auditions I decided not to go because I wouldn't be able to drive myself that season. The first audition rolled around, and I woke up from a call from the bass tech. He convinced me to come down and at least get the audition experience, so I got in my mom's car and she dropped me off. I was nervous, completely unprepared, and three hours late. Two camps later I had my contract and a guaranteed ride from another member. The encouragement from the staff and support from members is what gives TC the ability to inspire so many people on and off the floor. By the end of the 2017 season, I grew so much and was rewarded with the ensemble's performer of the year award. I couldn't wait to reunite with my new friends and continue the work where we left off. The next two seasons were a blessing. Getting to spend the weekend living in our own little world where nothing else mattered except the people around you and the goals in front of you. One of my favorite moments was after our community performance, a kid campe up to me and said that one day he wanted to be just like me. I couldn't believe that I was in the same position as the people I looked up to. All of these great moments were made possible because a staff member convinced me to believe in myself.”
